A new Neflix like service called Pley allows you to rent LEGO sets for a monthly fee. The concept is that the fun of LEGOs is the building and not the keeping, which I can’t argue against. Each set is sanitized to FDA restaurant standards prior to shipping. The service is tiered so you can rent small ($15/month), medium ($25/month) or large sets ($39/month). Interesting concept.
The Expanded Universe wave of the 30th Anniversary Collection featured three figures sourced from the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars micro-series. You would have to be a pretty good negotiator to convince me that the Yoda & Kybuck figure that we review today is not far and away the most impressive of the three.
Walmart stores are celebrating the launch of the Star Wars Rebels series with a special product displays, but not in the action figure aisle. This four-way product display is featured near the cash registers. Click through for the details.

For today’s Throwback Review, we return to 2007’s interesting repaint wave and look at a figure that I really like despite not giving two squats about the character (or even really knowing who he is). Click through to check out our review of Pax Bonkik.
I really didn’t want review this figure today. I wanted to keep reviewing figures that I like, but I quickly realized if I didn’t start slotting in some of the 30th Anniversary Collection misses that we’d have a traffic killing run of boring figures towards the end. So without further delay, here’s 2007’s unfortunate Death Star Trooper.
Facebook reader Stephane D. messaged us to say that Rebels figures were found in Austria. While the United States continues to wait for the first sighting, it’s good to see that some areas are getting these. Click through for the full sized image.

Yesterday we looked at Roron Corobb, but there…is…another….micro series Jedi Master in the 30th Anniversary Collection. For today’s Throwback Review we look at the the Shistavanen Jedi Master, Voolvif Monn.

If you are a fan of the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars micro series, the 30th Anniversary Collection provided you with a decent number of offerings from that source. Today we look at one of the five micro series sourced figures with 2007’s Roron Corobb.
This figure might be the sum of all fears original Original Trilogy purists. George Lucas continued to meddle with the Original Trilogy and for the 2004 DVD release, the Sebastian Shaw spirit was replaced by Hayden Christensen in Return of the Jedi. Today was look at the figure that represents that particular edit in 2007’s Anakin Skywalker’s Spirit.
